Welcome to the annual West Coast Ministers’ Conference.

Revival. It is a word that has been on the lips and minds of many over the last couple of years. Claims of a ‘quiet revival’ of Christianity taking place in North America have appeared in the Christian and secular press. There is some evidence that young men in appear to be more curious and receptive to the church in contrast to the entrenched apathy that we have wearily come to expect. Perhaps some of us have first-hand experience of this phenomenon in our own settings.

Yet revival, in a biblical sense, is not a mere resurgence of interest in religion, nor an increase in intellectual curiosity, encouraging as these things might be. It is essential that spiritual transformation on a personal and collective level remains central to any thinking about true revival of religion—it is this that has defined revivals of the past and will mark out any true movement of the Spirit in our own and future days.

It may be that your personal experience involves very little of revival, quiet or otherwise. It continues to be ‘a day of small things’ (Zech. 4:10). The pulpit seems to lack its former power, congregations may be apathetic, and there are signs society at large continues to decay. Therefore, whether for our own Christian lives, or for the churches and nations where we serve, we need to take up again the psalmist’s prayer, ‘Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?’ (Psa. 85:6).

This year’s Ministers’ Conference will call us to revisit God’s promises to revive his people, to remember his mighty works of revival in previous generations, and to renew our longing for the sovereign God to again pour out his Holy Spirit in extraordinary measure upon the ordinary means of grace he has called us to administer.

FAQs

Who can attend?

The West Coast Ministers’ Conference is arranged for:

  1. Ordained ministers (including retirees)
  2. Missionaries and Chaplains (including retirees)
  3. Those being trained for church ministry in a seminary or those who teach in a seminary
  4. Those being considered and encouraged for pastoral ministry by a church
  5. Church officers involved in preaching, teaching, or pastoral care at a particular church

We only allow men to attend to maximize opportunities for fellowship, accountability, and prayer. We understand the difficulty of being away from family for a couple of nights, but one of the goals of this conference is to encourage men to forge strong friendships with like-minded brothers and fellow gospel ministers in close geographical proximity.

Where is it located?

Mount Hermon, Felton CA. With many conferences utilizing large church campuses and off-site lodging, some might ask, ‘Why a conference center?’ A retreat center allows us to keep everyone together – encouraging a collegiate atmosphere through sharing sessions, prayer, meals, social events, and recreation time.

What does it cost?

Retreat centers allow us to keep rates lower than a normal hotel conference set up. Mount Hermon provides a comfortable retreat setting nestled amongst the giant redwoods of Northern California. Our conference fee covers the sessions, accommodation, and ‘full board’ (six meals, coffee & snacks) and the use of campus facilities. There are no hidden costs. See your rooming options below for prices.
